Here is my pulley setup. People have fought with this type of setup, and
it seems that everyone has a different solution. Here's mine. I used a standard
rotation water pump, which is the same as a Mustang pump, but turns the other
direction. The application is an 83 Cougar XR7 (302 of course). The pulley is an
ASP standard rotation water pump
pulley. I drilled a new index hole in the brace for the tensioner to add more tension
at the position where the tensioner rides on the belt.

Here is a picture of the engine in the car. I'm glad I painted the engine
bay. It really spruces things up underhood.

Here is the drivers side of the engine bay. Notice the manual brake
conversion. I used an ABR racing manual
brake cylinder adapter plate, and a 1979 Mustang manual brake cylinder. I also
installed a Hurst Roll Control linelock while I had the brakes apart.
