Leap Day was spent on the boat. We are headed back from Barbados to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Sea Day includes
a brunch in the Sensation Dining Room which we had not eaten in yet. You could order from the menu. Mike
and Greta couldn't find Jim and Trina so headed up on their own.
Mike ordered a burger which had brisket and onion rings on it and was very good. Greta ordered smoked salmon
Eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and that also was excellent. We ordered a "tower" where you had a choice of
two salads, and then also came with tomatoes, cucumbers and bagels. We ordered the ahi tuna salad and the
shrimp salad. The tower came without the bagels, but the salads were EXCELLENT, especially the tuna. We'd
definitely order that again. We also had a couple of mimosas, and met up with Jim and Trina as we left the
dining room. From there, we headed back to the shopping area, where both Trina and Greta got
necklaces. Trina's was a diamond studded anchor, and Greta got a Larimar palm tree. We also had to attend
the disembarkation speech to learn what needed to be done to get off the boat on Sunday.
We opted to spend most of the day sitting on the Serenity Deck. Mike and Trina snagged two sun chairs, while
Jim and Greta opted to sit in the shaded area. Later, Mike and Trina were about to get out of the sun when
two front-row canopy-covered chairs opened up, so they were lucky to get them. We stayed a few hours and the
few front-row canopy chairs were hard to get but at least there was the shaded area at the back of the deck. At
one point, Jim and Greta shared a cheese pizza that was tasty, and Greta got a little snack after that. Later
in the afternoon, Mike and Greta hit up Guy's Burgers for one last burger and fries - those were still good, even
if they weren't completely hot. A lot of relaxing, napping and reading on a beautiful day was the perfect
end to our trip.
We headed back in to clean up for the last dinner. We first stopped at the jewelry store for the raffle
(we did not win anything) and to get our jewelry warranties. Then it was on to dinner. For the last
dinner, Mike got his shrimp cocktail for the appetizer, and Greta got a Caribbean Pepper Pot, which turned
out to be delicious coconut-milk based soup. For the main course, they both got the Creole Shrimp with a
side of bacon mac and cheese. The shrimp course was very tasty. For dessert, Mike had an apple stuffed
with key lime cheese cake - it sounded great but he said it needed less apple. Greta had the cheese
plate.
Afterwards, we caught the last half of Scotty K's comedy show and it was REALLY FUNNY. After that, we headed
back to our rooms to finish packing. Our luggage had to be out in the hallway no later than 11 pm in order
for it to be taken off the boat. Otherwise , you had to disembark at 730 and carry your own luggage. From
there, Greta and Mike headed back to the Comedy Club for Spike's show. It was funny although he got a
little preachy at the end. Mike was falling asleep, so we headed back to the room for our last night on the ship.
