After Mike made everyone ham & cheese omelets, we headed into town. Jim wanted a new case for his Go
Pro, Trina needed a new snorkel, and we needed to stock up on provisions again. While out driving around,
Jim got his notification that he was fully certified. Hooray!
After we got back, we set up for a shore dive at Macabuca, with Jim leading the way, as he’d been there for
his testing. We got in a good dive along the wall – working our way up towards the condo & then back.
Great banged the back of her heel on a rock when she first got in – good thing there’s a first aid kit at
back at the condo. Trina was waiting for us at Macabuca, having had lunch there. We then joined her and
had lunch a well - Jim with the Taki Tuna Tacos, Mike with the Big Maca Burger & Fries and Greta with
a Tikka Salad with fried conch.
We relaxed by the pool in the afternoon, and then headed to Sunshine Bar & Grill for supper. It had
been recommended by two of Greta’s friends, and was advertised as a “t shirt & shorts” ambiance, so
right in the wheelhouse for us. It was perfect. It was a poolside restaurant at Sunshine Suites .. very
casual and the food was great. Jim & Trina both had the taco & slider option, Mike had a fish
sandwich and Greta had the “world famous Mahi tacos”. We all had margaritas with our meals and our food
was great. We saw some Winter Olympics at the grill and picked it up when we got back, in order to watch
the Dutch dominate the Women’s 1500 Speed Skating & Ireen Wust become the most decorated Dutch Olympian
ever.
